I visited Koshoji Temple a week ago and got myself a fortune. To my surprise, it was very uplifting. But only a few things apply. Read the contents below.

Week-Anniversary!

Has it really been a week already?! Wowzers! Accomplishments so far...

1. I can go to the grocery store all by myself!! Yey for not starving anymore.
2. I can ask people if they can speak English - "Anatawa a Eigo hanashimasu ka?"
3. I can say, I don't speak Japanese - "Nihongo o hanasemasen"

And that's about it!! hahaha.. 

I haven't done any shopping besides for food and household items.. OMG! The 100 yen store rocks!!! They have so much stuff there! And for only $1! I've been really good though, I haven't bought any useless junk as of yet.. I have to restrain myself from collecting crap! Even though they are ubber cute, I must resist at all cost!

I went to the store today and lookie what I found!! My favorite korean dish! Bibimpap! It's $2.50 a package.. Oh crap, I forgot to mention.. Okay are you sitting down? Frickin ey, a bag of rice is $40!!!! Yes! I kid you not! I'm not ever gonna buy rice here, I'll stick to these..

I don't know why I'm posting this picture up.. haha.. It's a peach lemonade drink thing. It's really good!

And finally.. My favorite snack!! It's all Rosalie's fault! These are sooooo good!! 

Training again tomorrow. I wish I could put up pictures of the babies! I'll keep working on it! Hopefully by my next post I'd have done something exciting besides going to the grocery store! haha!

The Apartment..

Finally!! OMG, I felt so lost without internet! I mean I had internet, my macbook was just dead. Life is good once again.. hehe..

So, my third day in Japan.. Amazing! I met the little kids, and they are beyond cute!! I seriously just wanna take them home with me! I think I'm gonna enjoy this job a lot, solely because of the kids. :)

Apartment pictures!! 

This is my room. A view from the doorway. It's pretty spacious, only thing is, I don't have a closet!! :( So sad! 

This is another view of my room looking out to the doorway. There's not much of a view and I'm on the 4th floor. There's this wall thing out my window. It's weird, but I think it's to minimize the wind, which is good I guess.

The kitchen. One burner, HAHA!! And a super TINY fridge! 

Bathroom.. Umm yah.. Did you know the Japanese toilet has two flushing functions?! A short flush and a long flush! Don't ask me why.. I'm going to long flush after every use! 

You can't see it, but there's a drain at the foot of the toilet. Apparently, Japanese people take showers outside of the tub, then take a bath! I am not taking a shower while standing by the toilet thank you very much! I need to buy a shower curtain! 

And finally... My 380-yen bento goodie! Yummm.. Except for that pink thing.. I think it's ginger, it's NASTY!! It looks pretty and all, but NO! 

So that is all for now... I still haven't made the trip to the store by myself! I'm too chicken!! I almost got lost going home today.. I don't wanna chance going a further distance and getting lost there. :( Damn, I need to grow some balls!

I've arrived!

Holy crap! I'm here!! I thought it would be colder, but Waimea is a little bit colder.

Really can't write much today.. My laptop is about to die! I have to buy the power plug converter. All of their sockets are two prong and my laptop is a 3-prong. :( Sad.. So I will post pictures of my apartment as soon as I get my comp. all charged up..

Not really doing anything at all today either. Just staying at home by my lonesome while everyone is at work. I don't even have a microwave or pots or pans to cook with! I'm gonna frickin starve!! haha! It looks like I'm gonna lose weight while I'm here. :)

I should be brave and go to the convenient store.. haha! Maybe on my 3rd day..

Hmm..

So last night at Border's a friend of mine suggested that I buy a diary to document my upcoming new life in the 'Land of The Rising Sun'. It was a great idea, but she would have to wait a very long time if she wanted to read it. Cause for one thing, I suck at keeping diaries!! I've never in my life finished an entire book. And I think all I ever wrote in them were about boys. Go figure!

And so that brings me to this blog. Another distraction.. haha. In all seriousness though, I owe it to my friends (you know, the one's who give a damn! hehehe) in keeping them updated. Cause I'm gonna be like 3,580 miles away (thank u google!)!! 

 I'll do my best and keep this blog updated. No promises though. :)
